Daily Vintage Style

Today's ensemble consists of deep Chanel vibes. I've paired a set of high rise 1950's wool wide leg trousers from Playclothes Vintage in Burbank, California, with a contemporary black and white boucle bolero jacket and a crisp white cotton button up shirt (a must have for any woman's wardrobe). I'm also wearing a pair of peep-toe kitten heels by Manolo Blahnik which I found for $8 at a thrift store.

For jewelry, I've chosen a long beaded strand necklace that I've owned for a century and doubled up my earrings (a little game in coordination that I just love to play). One set being excessively chunky acrylic white hoops, and the second set are large faux pearls. In addition, I've chosen to take my hair HIGHER with a giant bun on the very top of my head (the higher the hair, the closer to God, as they say. But I prefer to think of the cosmos instead). If I had to describe the perfect bun, I'd suggest that your ponytail should have some slack to it on the back of your head, bangs kept loose, and your sideburns rocked proud, leaving your flyaways and some loose tendrils around the entirety of the hairdo makes for an airy, yet sophisticated look. Add some pouty lips and voilas!

Yours truly,

AU
